1. Acceptance and eligibility

By accessing or using this website (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. These Terms apply to your use of any pages that are part of this Site, including educational content, course descriptions, downloadable materials, and contact forms.

Minimum age: you must be at least 16 years old to use this Site. If you are under the age of majority in your place of residence, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Site and to sign up for educational services. We design the content for general audiences and do not knowingly target children.

Trademarks and branding: the name “Arto Komsi” and associated logos and visual elements are identifiers of our educational services. You may not use them in a way that implies endorsement, sponsorship, or association without permission.

5. Prohibited activities

To protect learners and keep the Site stable, you agree not to engage in any of the following activities:

• Using the Site for unlawful purposes or to violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, user accounts, or related systems.
• Scraping, crawling, or bulk downloading content using automated tools without our written permission.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for direct damages arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site will not exceed the amount you paid to Arto Komsi for the relevant services in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or €100, whichever is lower.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you. In those cases, our liability will be limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Arto Komsi from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Site, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defense of such claims.

You agree that the courts located in Kuopio, Finland will have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute or claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you.

12. Dispute resolution

Informal resolution first: before filing a formal complaint or initiating court proceedings, you agree to contact us and describe the issue. We will attempt to resolve disputes informally within 30 days of receiving your notice.

If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, either party may pursue a claim in the courts described in the Governing law and jurisdiction section above, unless a different forum is required by mandatory law.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site (including any course areas, if applicable) at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, posed a security risk, or engaged in harmful conduct toward the Site or other users.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including Intellectual property, Disclaimer of warranties, Limitation of liability, Indemnification, Governing law, Dispute resolution, and Contact/Notices.

14. Modifications to the Site or Terms
